Dan Dillard is an Austin-based entrepreneur who is re-imaging the education and business landscape in order to better equip the next generation as they navigate the shifting sands of the modern workforce. Using media, he is creating new access to information, education, and support across industries in order to help individuals hone in on their passions and target their personal path towards success.
Dan’s first venture was publishing foundingAUSTIN; a quarterly magazine — to share the real-world stories of local folks starting businesses from the ground up, including Chuy’s, Hula Hut and Shady Grove founder Mike Young and Tito Beveridge of Tito’s Vodka. Two years later, Dan launched the podcast Masters and Founders in order to do more in-depth interviews with founders, including artists like Jimmie Vaughn and founder of the Austin Chronicle, Louis Black. The success of the podcast spurred the launch of founding_media network in March, 2019. Now with 12 titles, founding_media podcasts centers around growth and learning across many sectors, from Artists and Doctors, to Scientists and Entrepreneurs, all sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly of their industry.
